How We Help You Cover the Cost of Braces
In addition to accepting cash and most major credit cards, we use two other ways to make the cost of orthodontics a comfortable fit for most budgets:
Traditional Braces Customized
to Your Needs and Preferences
Traditional braces are usually the best solution for more extensive or complex cases, making them a mainstay in orthodontics. In addition to the standard metal hardware and neutral rubber components, we also have colorful brackets that kids and teens often enjoy customizing.
About 80% of our Round Rock patients are treated with braces, either traditional braces or Damon braces. The other 20% benefit from Invisalign or other clear aligners. We are happy to offer an option for everyone.
FAQ About Braces in Round Rock, TX
We love answering your questions, and we can't wait to provide the information you need during your free consultation. In the meantime, here are some quick answers to the questions we hear most often:
How much are braces?
Braces for young children (also called phase one braces) range from $1,000 to $4,000. Treatment for teens and adults ranges from $4,000 to $6,000. During your visit, we can help you determine how much your insurance plan will cover and discuss financing options if needed.
How long does treatment with braces take?
It always depends on the complexity of the case. For young kids who don't have all their adult teeth, it can take 9–18 months. Teens and adults can expect to wear braces from six months to three years. The more compliant you are with your orthodontist's instructions, the more efficient you can expect your treatment to be.
Which foods are off-limits when you wear braces?
Generally speaking, you should avoid anything that could damage your brackets and wires. These include hard candy, popcorn, corn on the cob, nuts, pizza crust, and hard pretzels. We know this can be challenging, but the rewards are worth it, and you can go back to all the snacks you love once you have completed treatment!
Do braces hurt?
There can be some discomfort after you first receive braces or after adjustments, but this will subside. If you feel especially uncomfortable, over-the-counter pain relievers can help until the discomfort fades.
Will I have to wear a retainer when I get my braces off?
Yes, your orthodontist will prescribe a retainer to wear in order to keep your teeth in their new positions. How long and how often you need to wear a retainer will depend on your specific needs.
